Terms of Service

Effective date: November 3, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Online Ventures LLC ("we", "us"), the publisher of the Bible & You app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. What the app offers

The King James Version text is in the public domain. The app's design, code, curated verse list, reflections and name belong to us.

2. Your licence to use the app

The app is licensed to you, not sold. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted to you. That includes all copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights in the app's code, design, curated content and the Bible & You name.

3. Reverse engineering and tampering are prohibited

You must not, and must not help or allow anyone else to:

These restrictions apply except where, and only to the extent that, applicable law expressly gives you a right that cannot be waived by contract. One example is the limited right under EU law to decompile software to achieve interoperability. Before relying on any such right, you must first ask us in writing at [email protected] for the information you need.

Breaking this section is a breach of these terms and of our licence. It immediately ends your right to use the app and may also infringe our copyright and other rights under the law, including laws against circumventing technical protection measures. We may block access to Ask Grace and Premium, and we reserve the right to take legal action, including seeking an injunction and damages.

4. Using the app responsibly

You also agree not to:

We may limit or block access to Ask Grace for anyone who misuses it.

5. About Ask Grace (AI answers)

Grace is an AI, not a person. Her answers are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong, including Scripture references. Check important answers against the Bible itself.

Grace is not God, a pastor, a counselor, a doctor or a lawyer. She is not a substitute for your church community, spiritual leaders, or professional medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact emergency services right away. In the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

Grace aims to stay ecumenical and focused on Scripture. Answers don't represent the official teaching of any church or denomination. Questions and answers are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Ask Grace needs an internet connection and may sometimes be unavailable.

6. Premium subscriptions

7. Your content

Your prayer journal entries are yours. They stay on your device, and we never receive them. If your phone is lost, reset or the app is uninstalled, they may be lost too, unless your Android backup includes them. We can't recover them for you.

8. Changes and availability

We may update, change or discontinue features, including Ask Grace, at any time. If we permanently stop offering Premium, we'll stop renewals and handle any remaining paid period according to Google Play's policies.

9. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app or from any AI answer.

Security incidents and data breaches. We take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we handle, and we keep as little as possible (see our Privacy Policy). No app, server or internet transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered or lost without authorization. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible or liable for any loss or damage caused by:

Where the law requires us to notify you or the authorities about a data breach, we will do so.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can't be excluded or limited under applicable law, such as liability for our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or rights you have under consumer-protection and data-protection laws that can't be waived.

11. Ending these terms

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Remember to cancel any subscription in Google Play. We may suspend access to Ask Grace if these terms are broken.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live in the EU, UK or another place whose consumer laws give you the right to bring claims in your home courts, you keep that right.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above and, for significant changes, mention it in the app's release notes. If you keep using the app after an update, you accept the new terms.
